The team is the strength
Kyriakos Kynigopoulos
After graduating in food processing in Thessaloniki, Greece, Kyriakos moved to Dijon in 1982 to specialize in oenology. After obtaining a diploma in oenology in 1985, a DEA at ENSBANA in 1986 and enrolling for a thesis, he fell under the spell of Burgundy, where he has remained ever since!
At the head of the SGS Œnologie Laboratory since 1988, he has been one of the key players in Burgundy's qualitative revolution: he initiated a new approach to winemaking red wines and revived the techniques of yesteryear for ageingwhite wines. Since 1995, he has traveled the world sharing his expertise and know-how. In 2006, he fulfilled one of his dreams by becoming the owner of Laboratoire BURGUNDIA OENOLOGIE.

Director et consulting oenologist

Laurent Michelet
It was through his Burgundian ties to winemaking grandparents that Laurent developed his scientific career. After graduating as an oenologist from Dijon in 1988, he joined J.C. BOISSET as laboratory quality manager. There, he learned the rigors of analysis and monitored wine ageing. In 1993, he joined another négociant company and entrusted his analyses to Laboratoire SGS.
It was here that he met up with Kyriakos again, and in 2002 decided to put his skills at the service of BURGUNDIA OENOLOGIE and winegrowers in their quest for progress.

Consulting œnologist

Pierre Fonteneau
Agronomist and oenologist graduated from Montpellier SupAgro, Pierre started out in northern Italy, with a grape variety close to Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo. He then turned his attention to viticulture, developing management systems adapted to vineyards on very steep slopes. Convinced that wine is first and foremost made in the vineyard, he retained this agronomic fibre on his return to France, and became involved in oenological consulting in the Côtes du Rhône, Cahors and Mediterranean regions.
In 2007, he moved to Burgundy, before joining BURGUNDIA ŒNOLOGIE in 2013. In the field, he is appreciated for his sensitivity and ability to listen, and strives to distill that touch of Burgundian spirit into his winemaking, while keeping abreast of the latest oenological advances.

Curious to discover other terroirs and grape varieties, she took on the job of assistant cellar master at a Côtes du Roussillon estate, where she was responsible for vinification of the vintage.
Steeped in the latest knowledge and techniques in oenology, Laurie chose Burgundy and the profession of consultant oenologist when she joined the BURGUNDIA OENOLOGIE team in March 2021.

Common philosophy

High precision scientific skills at the service of winegrowers.

Established in Burgundy for more than 30 years, BURGUNDIA OENOLOGY Laboratory has been both an actor and a witness in the viticultural and winemaking developments of our region.

This unique experience has given us an intimate knowledge of our grape varieties, our terroirs and the Burgundian vintages.

Every day, by taking inspiration from current research, but above all by exchanging with winemakers in France and around the world, we continue to enrich our oenological vision.

In this philosophy of accompaniment, the analysis is presented as a decision-making tool, a tool of precision, which helps us to bring you a personalized service: specific to each winemaker, and to each vintage.

It is by combining know-how, knowledge, exchanges, analyses and tastings that we can, together, reveal the unique character of your wines.

Our expertise and our reputation have open the doors of other vineyards in France and a dozen other countries around the world.
